My favorite Mascara!!!

Let me begin this post by telling you that I love all things lashes and mascara.  I have tried it all from Latisse and Novalash Extensions to the glue on lashes too.  The Latisse was wonderful, but when I stopped using it, my lashes eventually went back to normal.  Novalash was such a luxury while I got them done.  With Novalash, individual lashes are applied to your lashes leaving you with beautiful, long lashes that you wake up with every morning.  No mascara needed at all which was so great and such a time saver.  However, all good things must come to an end, and after about 2-3 weeks, it was time to get them filled again.  Needless to say, this was a very time consuming and costly thing that a busy mom of two busy boys did not have time for!  As for the lashes that you glue on...I just never got the hang of it and wound up with a mess.  I do have friends who have mastered this technique and their lashes always look beautiful.  With all this being said, I will tell you now that I am NO makeup artist!!  I am a preschool teacher who a lot of the time is able to peel glue from various places on my face and arms left over from my little friend's art projects.:)  If you are here from Shay's blog, welcome!!  If you aren't and have never visited her blog, click here and be ready to stay a while!  You are in for a real treat!  Now on to Younique Fiber Lash Mascara!  These are my lashes, using Youniqe 3-D Fiber Lashes which is actually a three step process using a transplanting gel and natural fibers.  I no longer have to apply coat after coat of mascara to achieve the lashes I want.  This mascara has cut my "makeup time" in half!  Below I will tell you how I apply the mascara.  If you should decide you want to try it, simply click here to order.  Click on 3D Fiber Lashes and for $29, you can have fabulous lashes too!  By the way, I have been using this mascara for almost two months now and I am still haven't had to order new.

Selfies are way harder to take than I realized...especially of your eyes!!

I love the results I get!:)
1. I curl my lashes.
2. I apply a thin coat of my normal favorite mascara.  For me it is Maybeline Falsies.
3. Apply transplanting gel to lashes.  Make sure to coat lashes very well.
4.  Immediately apply the fibers.  Let me say here...Do not be afraid...these lash fibers are probably like nothing you have ever seen before.  They almost look like black fuzz spun onto a mascara wand.  I stay away from the base of my lashes and focus on the middle and tips.  Also by staying away from the base it prevents the fibers from getting in your eyes.  Okay, this is where the fun begins.  You will begin to see your lashes getting fuller and longer.
5.  Apply another coat of transplanting gel to seal the fibers and you are done.  Or, you can continue steps 4 and 5 as many times as you want to achieve the length and fullness that you like.
6.  As a final step, I add one more coat of my normal favorite mascara for an added bonus.  To each her own...there is no right or wrong way...just find the process that works best for you.

*Important...do one eye at a time.  Complete one eye before moving to the next.  You have to apply the lash fibers while the transplanting gel is still wet.*

A few more things you should know...I have very sensitive skin and eyes so I was very nervous in the beginning.  I have had no problems at all.  I have friends who wear contacts that use it and have had no problems either.  It is water resistant and the fibers are natural.  I hope you love it as much as I do!

Love is in the air!

So I am a week late posting about our Valentine's Day, but better late than never, right?  As a teacher, Valentine's Day is one of the most fun days for the kids.  They get so excited about the little cards and of course the abundance of candy.  Cade and Cannon had so much fun getting their Valentine cards ready this year.  I let them pick a printable from Pinterest and this is what they chose.
When I was pregnant with Cade, I ate bags and bags of Cheese Doritos.  To this day, they are still his favorite, so this was very fitting for him!  Cannon filled his treat bags with cake donut holes and yes, some went missing while stuffing bags.:)

My little loves had a great day at school and came home with lots of goodies!

When we got home, they had a surprise from Mom and Dad...just a few little treats to say I Love You!  I love wrapping gifts.  Everyone loves to open a pretty package...even boys (I'm sure they would never admit this)...even though it may only be a Duck Dynasty plastic cup filled with chocolate...a pretty package makes it seem like so much more.;)

Nothing says I Love You like a cookie card!

That night we ended our day by going to dinner with great friends.  Such a fun day!  Hope all of you had a great one too!
